Student Tech Week at the Capitol Theatre
Summer Intensive – Student Tech Week, is a five-day, in-theatre training program for Grade 9–12 students with prior technical experience that offers hands-on instruction within a professional theatre environment. Lessons will include lighting, audio, projection, crew work, and stage management. The program builds on the technical skills developed in school theatre tech programs with a focus on advancing current familiarity with equipment and gaining experience in the backstage world.

- Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (bring your own lunch)
- Location: 121 University Ave W (Capitol Theatre Windsor)
- Fee: $250 + tax
ELIGIBILITY:
- Ages: Students entering Grade 9-entering Grade 12 in September 2026
- Pre-requisites: Must work on a high school student tech team and have basic familiarity with set up for school assemblies and productions.

- Theatre Lighting
- Audio Set Up
- Projection
- Crew 101
- Stage Management
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- Get Hands-on Experience in a Professional Environment
- Earn a Certificate of Completion (Level 1 Student Tech)
- Have the opportunity to run a show (Capitol Arts Camp Showcase) in a large theatre
- Gain eligibility to apply for co-op and internships at the Capitol Theatre
