These lectures will provide an overview of musical development between 1600 and 1750, with particular emphasis on the music of Bach and High Baroque.

With the cooperation of The Teaching Company, the WSO has permission to show a series of lectures on DVD delivered by Professor Robert Greenberg, Ph.D., Department of Music and Literature. Greenberg’s lectures are designed to help course participants become fluent in the language of music and can transform the experience of listening for novice and long-time listeners alike.

The class size for the series is limited to 50 people. Please sign up early to avoid disappointment.

Classes take place 10 a.m. to noon at The Capitol on Mondays from October 17 through November 21. The course is free, but donations to help offset cost of course and support the WSO are appreciated. Charitable tax receipts for donation of $50.00 or more.
