What’s something interesting about this concert?
- Williams’ Star Wars theme is one of the most famous and frequently performed film scores in the world.
- Williams has had a long-standing and fruitful collaboration with filmmaker Steven Spielberg. The two have worked together on nearly every Spielberg’s film, from Jaws (1975) to The Post (2017).
- Williams uses the technique of leitmotifs—musical themes associated with specific characters, ideas, or emotions. For example, Yoda’s Theme captures the wisdom and mysticism of the character, while the Rebel Alliance Theme symbolizes hope and resistance. This allows the music to not only enhance the on-screen action but also guide the audience’s emotional responses to key moments in the films.
