The folk songs composed by Holst, Janáček, and Bartók reflect a deep connection to their cultural roots. Holst’s British folk tunes, Janáček’s Moravian themes, and Bartók’s Romanian rhythms create a rich soundscape of musical storytelling.

- Bartók’s The Romanian Folk Dances was originally composed for piano in 1915. The piano version was later orchestrated by Bartók in 1917, further enriching the musical textures and colors of the piece.
