BRIEF PERFORMER PROFILES

Serieux

Serieux is a Detroit-based, traditional soul vocal group that was founded in 1998 by Larry Griffin, Valenica Taylor, Donovan Johnson (Musical Director) and Robert Grande (Road Manager) to recreate the style of classic soul groups like the Temptations, the Four Tops and the Manhattans.

Splitting their time principally between Detroit and Las Vegas, Serieux has opened for the likes of Earth, Wind and Fire, The Whispers and other major acts. They’ve also performed in a Motown Musical “Come and get these Memories” with Martha Reeves and played the Temptations in the play Marvin, My Brother – The Marvin Gaye Story.

Serieux issued their first disc, I Can Give You Love, in 2007, featuring former Spinners and Temptations lead singer GC Cameron. The group currently includes Eddie Watkins, Quinton Troutman, Leon Franklin, Dennis Ewell and Griffin.
