The University of Windsor Jazz Ensemble’s fall concert will feature a diverse selection of big band compositions and arrangements including timeless vocal standards from the 1930’s and 40’s, jazz selections from the 50’s, latin dance music and new compositions by recording artist Kris Berg. Featured vocalists are Pia Lampitoc, Madeline Doornaert, Lilly Korkontzelos and Ken Wood.
THE UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR JAZZ ENSEMBLE is comprised of university, general community and high school instrumentalists and vocalists who perform several styles such as swing, rock, blues and pop. This Ensemble has performed in many diverse venues including the Boblo and Monroe Jazz Festivals, various community fundraisers, University events, school concerts and our SoCA Presents series performances.
